Jesus makes sense… until he doesn’t. It’s fine when he welcomes the stranger, so long as we’re the stranger, and not the people we find strange. We’re all OK with Jesus healing people in need of it, but we’d rather we just not need the healing in the first place. We’re happy to hear him correct the moral-misses of people who miss differently than we do, but we wonder if he’s really making sense when he starts talking about us. If Jesus is anything, he’s courageous, present, and powerful — but that doesn’t mean he always makes sense to us. Maybe, as frustrating as that is, that’s a good thing. Join us in our journey to Easter as we step into a few moments of Jesus’ ministry his UNCOMMON SENSE approach.
