THE HAPPINESS MACHINE

It’s what we all want. It’s what the people who cared about us wanted for us. And, it’s what we want for the people we care most about—happiness. We treat it like it’s practically a divine right… like we were born to have it… on our terms. We get frustrated when we can’t seem to locate it — like something’s wrong with the happiness machine.
Of course, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to be happy. But, what if we’ve been defining happiness in terms so narrow and so small, that we’ve destined ourselves for disappointment — even if we got what we were longing for? Over the next few weeks, we’ll reframe the conversation around happiness. We’ll reconfigure happiness from the small-sized notion we might’ve inherited from culture and God-size it for lasting transformation.
