ME VS. ME

Early on, we learn that the world is often characterized by a series of unwanted but unavoidable battles. We're quick to identify the threats, enemies, and challengers. We form strategies. We identify weaknesses. We plot defenses. Some of us make a lot of noise to accompany our fury, while others play a more subtle game.

Eventually, we discover that the biggest and most important battle of our lives is a fight with our oldest, most determined, and most familiar rival: ourselves. It's the only fight where the victor and the loser are one and the same.
