MISSION

The Pop Up Food Pantry & Mobile Library Bus mobilizes volunteers and resources to support under-resourced families in our local community by providing food assistance and enriching opportunities for children. Many families in our community experience food insecurity, making it difficult to consistently provide meals and educational resources at home. This ministry exists to meet both practical and developmental needs by offering nourishing food for families while creating a fun and welcoming reading experience for kids. Through monthly Pop Up Pantry events, Harbor Point serves local families with groceries while children are invited to explore books, stories, and learning through our Mobile Library Bus.

Each month, Harbor Point partners with a local Title 1 elementary school to host a Pop Up Food Pantry where families receive fresh groceries and essential food items. While parents shop for food, children are welcomed onto the Mobile Library Bus to discover books, participate in reading activities, and build excitement around learning.

This ministry creates a space where families experience dignity, care, and community support while children gain access to literacy resources that encourage growth and confidence. By addressing both food insecurity and educational opportunity, we aim to strengthen families and invest in the future of our community.

Sign up to serve at an upcoming Pop Up Food Pantry & Mobile Library Bus event. There are opportunities to help distribute food, welcome families, stock groceries, assist children on the library bus, and create a hospitable environment for everyone who attends.
