SOMEBODY SAVE ME

God coming to the rescue of His people is a central part of the biblical narrative. God routinely makes promises to His captured people to restore them, to bring them home. It's God who saves people from disease, famine, and injustice. And, it's God who meets people in their deepest sorrow. The God, who saves, is the story of the Bible. Even the name "Jesus," roughly translated, means: "God rescues".

Everyone, Jesus-follower or not, needs a rescue...from a habit, from a way of thinking, from a past trauma, and from the universal brokenness of our human condition. All of us, not just once, but over and over again, are in need of some kind of "saving". In this series, we will look at some of the ways the Bible characterizes God's rescue for the lost-causes and the unintentional wanderers among us, and how that rescuing work still has a surprising relevance for us today.
